To Cut A Long Story Short

(Dan who?)

Over forty years in the radio industry primarily on BBC local radio in the UK, but with experience on the national and international stage.

Dan has worked as a presenter, producer, researcher, journalist, newsreader, sound engineer, live event producer, sports reporter, commentator and producer, radio trainer, podcast creator and live event host/MC.

With experience in the BBC and the commercial sector, Dan has presented every daytime programme from breakfast to late-night regional shows, with some regional TV experience.

Although he’s been composing music since he was a teenager, Dan started recording in professional studios in the 90s before taking time away from radio to record his first album ‘Excess Baggage’ specifically for music industry professionals in 2004 - a journey which then took him to New York and Los Angeles and hanging out with top musicians and music producers.

The highlight of the trip was a full-day production session for the Mexican star Lucero where Dan unexpectedly helped with a complicated mix for the song ‘Se’ under the watchful eyes of legendary record producer Homero Patron (pictured)

After an unexpected health setback in 2013, Dan set up a home studio and has since produced tracks for other artists. In November 2024, he released a second album ‘From the Ground Up’ recording with top class American country musicians. It has been considered a ground-breaking project as it was written and produced unlike any other - essentially, in reverse!

He still spends time writing, recording and producing, but primarily by helping others to achieve their dreams.
